Re: Two Premier League footballers are ready to come out as homosexuals
We must all pray for them, whoever they are, whatever team they play for, whatever their creed, colour or race.
Surely the cure for this dreadful illness cant be far away.

We've had a couple of gay players before, don't see what the issue is. Also it's for people to come out themselves and not be forced to.

Re: Two Premier League footballers are ready to come out as gay
Our very own Thomas Hitzlsperger came out but only after his playing career ended. How would people have honestly reacted at matches if this had been public before and opposition fans were giving him and us abuse ?

I think the abuse Brighton fans get (and to be fair give back in response eg "You're too ugly to be gay") is acceptable, though I've never asked one. I would find abuse towards a player of whatever team with the courage to be open pretty offensive, along the lines of racial abuse.

According to this very site a couple of years back, there is an ex Villa former England international with a superinjunction stopping a story about him being gay.
